Another word of caution: If you join mail lists, be prepared to check your inbox daily and depending on which lists, and how many you join you might want to consider a bigger mailbox. Within a few months I received over 3000 messages from just one list! I subscribe to about 15.

Don't be suckered in by claims that a site has records that your folks were royalty or related to some well know person, just send $$$! Check with other sites first and then check credentials and certifications. Remember, Anyone can put up a Web site and say anything. Look at me!
